Post Christmas Thoughts

Still in the spirit of Christmas, I'd like to share with you that this is my favourite time of the year, as a small young. Christmas time, of course, kids do get all the goodies like gifts, presents, carols and candies. Laughter is in the time for the whole month of December.

That was when times were pure and innocent. As I grew up, the feeling faded and that yearly family get-together just never get to go on as a tradition. It's a pity. But as I've aged, it seems like it's become more about the commercialism. Gifts this and gifts that.

That's when the fun of giving at Christmas started to leave for me. Not to mention for the next several years out of college I was broke and couldn't meet the expectations of giving to some people.

Thinking back, I could have made gifts with my own hands to give it to some closer buddies or to the college girl I was fond of. Things could be totally different if I had done that.By that it doesn't mean you won't spend any money, but you might spend a lot less and you put your time and heart in it.

On ending, I hope that we can take back Christmas to make it about true giving rather than superficial giving.

Merry Christmas

Less than 2 days to Christmas! It means we are at the end of the year. Hello 2010. So what does this Christmas mean to you? To me, it's nothing more than a highly glamourous mega shopping event that builds up in every late November. It's way too commercialised, isn't it? But without commercialism, there ain't any tinge of festive spirits!

Other than some intensive shopping, does it still mean anything to you on this day? Do you still celebrate traditionally? Each family I think has its own habits and traditions.

Of course there will be lots of food and drinks when we spend joyous times with friends and family. Family members who are away for the rest of the year will specially come home during this time to gather with the rest of the family.

The important thing is that the Christmas celebration should be right for you and your family.

December 2009

Times flies and now we are ALREADY in the last month of 2009. In another 30 days or so, it will be in our history and memories. December is a favourite month to many people, who associate it with year end holidays, bonuses, shopping, Christmas, job performance review, planning for next year, merry time to drink/party, and maybe even stock market rally? Yes, December is really a positive month. It gives hope to many.

One of the most vivid memory of 2009 will be the death of pop king, Michael Jackson. Also comes to mind will be the first quarter of the year when everything seems extremely gloomy. Jobs and businesses were falling by the way side and we were nearly in the midst of another great depression. Miraculously, it picked up gradually and my firm received a few big work orders, hence thank goodness, my job is spared.

On flows and tides

We go against the tide when we try to fight reality, and resist change. Change is going to happen, whether you like it or not. Struggling against the changes life brings is not going to achieve anything but frustration and stress.

Going with the flow enables us to become fluid and flexible. Taking on a free-flowing attitude allows us to be like water. Water is the most powerful substance, able to wear away the hardest of obstacles and to pass through seemingly impassable places.

This doesn't mean that you have to allow yourself to be swept in directions that are not in line with your goals and desires. It is just not smart or productive to try and row your little raft against the strong current of life. That is a sure way to get shipwrecked!

When you are swimming in relatively calm waters, there are many choices you can take without fighting the natural flow of the universe. And at every turn of the tide offers us opportunities for learning, growth, and adventure, so go with the flow and enjoy!

Show gratitude at all times

According to Hindu belief, gratitude is one of the most important aspects to be a upright man. Ingratitude is inexcusable and unforgiven.

Do you feel things are not going your way? Does it ever seem like things aren't going you way? Does it ever seem like you're wondering, "How am I going to get out of this, how am I going to solve this? Why do I have to do this when I'd rather be doing that? Deja vu

You go to work, your purpose may be to make this much money or to take care of this or that. But if you go to a party, what is the purpose? No purpose. You just like to be there. If life became like one big party you would not wonder what the hell its purpose is. You just like to be there.

Life does not need a purpose; it is a purpose itself. It need not lead you on to something else. Just being exuberantly alive is sufficient unto itself.

Good deeds everyday

Think of a time in your life where you willingly help someone from the bottom of your heart, and at the end of the day, you feel that you have done the best thing in the world. There is a sense of utter satisfaction and happiness when you see the people you have helped gradually get back into the groove of their lives.

When you help out willingly, you are using your true emotion and empathy to sincerely want to see improvements in other people's life. This is a very noble deed that builds positive harmony in your life.

That's a reason why, no matter how, I do my best to do something good each day. For example, just yesterday, I gave up a turn at a taxi stand to a pregnant woman who may be in a hurry to visit her doctor. The smile from her I got in return was simply brilliant. I felt great too.

That's why, everyday here in your life always remember to have a good deed to someone to make you good, even though there are times that when you help other people and by not asking whatever in return, they just ignore your concern and didn't lived a simple thanks.

Inspire and spirit

When you are "there", I think inspiration will find you. So when and how can you be "there"? Where do I find the source of inspiration?

Personally I feel that inspiration will come to you and not the other way round.

This is not motivation I am talking about. Yes, motivation seems to be a basic life principle. If you are hungry, you get motivated to feed yourself. If you think you are short of money and want to buy something, get motivated yourself and think of ways to make some money or find ways around it.

A very real dream

What a beautiful and shadowy full moon... Has anyone noticed any increase in their intuitive/spiritual experiences the last couple of days? I have had some intense dreams of an emotional nature, but that usually happens near the full moon.

I have a feeling that with this new sun we are to experience more and more of these amazing dreams and intuitions. The light of the moon is after all the suns reflection. And a reflection is the meaning of us, when we look within.

My dreams in this last whole month have been very vivid, and I can remember all my dreams as soon as I wake-up.

I also had a psychic dream that my sister would be home late from work, and she wouldn't be able to meet us on time for our family dinner. And my mom was displeased as she disliked us being not punctual.

Yes, during full moon period, my dreams are uncannily real.

Act of Forgiveness

I have a former colleague who I resent a lot, even to the extent of wishing bad things will happen to him. I know this is very bad yet the circumstances are really unforgiving to me because he as a very powerful figure who backs him at my previous workplace. I'm not sure why we couldn't develop a fruitful working relationship. Maybe I have some problems which I can't realise myself?

About 1 year later, I resigned from that company and was extremely glad to see the back of that building. The resentment still lingers, as we are both highly competitive. This is certainly no gentleman agreement between us. We just went all out to impress the top boss with our drawings.

So here I am, reading about Maria Duval's guide for forgiveness and getting rid of resentment in my calm and relaxed study room overlooking some lush greenery.

I whisper to myself: "I forgive Mr Txxxxxxxn, and I forgive you for taking away my work" (I won't write out the real reason here, of course)

Is there really peace?

Last day of August. Time flies!

Just a short post today as I feel drained.

More people are bogged down by emotional issues nowadays. Signs like feeling depressed, worried, nervous, fearful, and so on. In a beautiful planet when blue skies and green pristine oceans, we ought to be inspired with abundance and feel relaxed, peaceful and satisfied. That there would be no war in this world. Hence I believe that as long as humans exist there will never be peace on earth.

Believe in yourself

Belief! Yes, you must always believe in yourself. That's the last vestige of pride one may have when all others around stop believing you.!

Believe that you can earn more money, believe that you can do it, believe that you can change something. Believe in yourself and trust that the Universal will give you powers to change it. Of course, this does not mean you just slack off at home and expect money to grow underneath your mattress.

Next, do you ever feel satisfied when you have food, home, education and job? If you never feel satisfied with things around you, you will never happy!

As we live on, we must satisfy ourself and should not expect too much from others or push the blame on others when something bad happens. To lead a better and more peaceful existence, we should learn what we have now, what we will have in future.

If you not satisfied when you only can own a small house, you should think of many people who are homeless. We must not expect too much from people as if you want to expect much from people, you should also give something in return. And never expect any return if you want to help anyone.

Food rules

Food is our essence of life and hence what we swallow down our throats has a big impact on our mood and feeling. I think this is very true because I suffered from depression a few years ago - not those major attack, and I got out about 1 week later.

I find when I eat right, that is to say a balanced diet including lots of fruit and veggies, I have more energy and I feel more focused and alert. Personally, I feel we should consume about 50% of vege, grains, nuts and fruits, while the remaining the rest split between meat and carbo.

I'm not sure it is totally true. I observe that when I don't follow these nutritional rules, I feel lethargic and uninspired. Normal tasks just seem a bit more difficult.

If possible, I avoid excessive alchohol, caffeine and sugary stuff. A moderate bit of red wine daily appeals to me as i read it is very helpful to maintain a good blood circulation.

Staying motivated

So you think you self motivated each day when you get up in the morning at the snooze of the alarm? Do you spring out of bed eager to face the day with good enthusiasm and vigour?

I have learned Reiki before, and this is one of my favourite topic. Reiki has been in my life for more than one year and its now a odd routine for me for as long as I would be alive.

Like all spiritual techniques, there are various forms of Reiki, particularly when it comes to blockages. Reiki is able to deal with these energy blockages in you so that you can be a more physical and energetic person.

I have heard that when there is a blockage, you can't fully utilise the goodness of Reiki. But I beg to differ. Subsconsious

Express your gratitude

There is this analogy about expressing gratitude. Some people feel shy about expressing gratitude. It is like you have wrapped a birthday present for a friend, but decided not to give it to that friend.

I'm sitting in my garden today, on a beautiful, cool and sunny day, looking out over my plants, with Mozart playing at the background. Yes it is so relaxing moment. I found myself pausing in my enjoyment to reprimand myself for not saying thank you often enough. I don't mean thank you in the sense of thanking someone for a favor that they have done. What I mean is paying tribute to the world in which we live which provides us with an abundance of everything and also infinite opportunities.

Maria Duval stresses the importance of expressing your thanks and gratitude over and over again. It must be something spiritually beneficial.

Whether or not you have faith in terms of a particular religion is not what I am really getting at here. I'm merely noting that faith, hope and gratitude are all essential to being happy in this life. Youthful experience

I remember vividly what it was like when I was a child. The sense of sight and feel was really magical. I remember I was running around barefooted around the mountainous region of my grandpa's house and feeling the impact of physical senses coming my way. It was very a strong touch and my young mind and body were naturally filled with all the feelings, sounds, tastes and smells to give me youthful spiritual nourishment.

Without any hesitation, that was the pleasures of life, even for an eight year old.

Now I understand from Maria that these inspiring experiences are in truth the results of Positive Being. It is this wonderful, healing and beautiful quality that is always present within us. It is like a sun inside of us that can spread out its rays brilliantly in all directions illuminating all of our positive aspects. When we allow this radiance to enter all aspects of ourselves each and every second will be filled with wonderful feelings of joy and happiness.

Dream about a ring

I had a strange dream. On the weekend, I again lost something. This time a ring I have been wearing on my left index finger on months. It was a simple looking peridot ring and I like it a lot. After some frantic search, I declared its status as MISSING. My lovely wife replaced it for me with another similar one the next day. I was so feel of love for her.

Deep inside, I have a feeling that my old ring is somewhere misplaced in my house. On the same night, I had a dream in which I dreamed that I was in a particular room - not sure which is the one - and on one corner of that room, I saw my wife's grandma sitting on the armchair reassuring me that the ring would be found.

Then my sister-in-law who was sitting opposite to her was told by her to move a handkerchief above a jug or container and then she opened it and gave me the new ring I was given by my wife.

I told her that this was not the ring I was looking for and then she told my sister-in-law to do the same trick again. She gave me exactly the same ring for a second time and told her that this wasn't again the ring I was looking for.

Grandma replied that the ring was lost and then out of nowhere my wife appeared and he offered me another ring, a huge gold one with a big clear emerald stone.

I was very surprised by the shape and size of the ring and I found myself wondering why my wife would give it to me... That was when she knocked her elbow on my chest as she turned. I woke up feeling very vivid about this dream. I jotted the dream scape down on a note book besides the bed and back to sleep again....

Seek Peace

What is Peace?


Is it when we are not conflicted? Where we are able to relax?

In my view, these are wrong. Let me explain.

Maria Duval says "Peace is where almost all problems of yours are gone"...It's a bit dark, isn't it?

But, with peace means you have acknowledged and dealt with your problems, not push them away. If you constantly refuse these problems, you will not be able to grow. We dream about

Dreams are the part of life. These are a sign of images, ideas and emotions made up in your mind. These are shown often when you are asleep. These dreams are some sort of person's living desire. Mostly people in the world want to fulfill their dreams. These dreams can be anything related to their choices like money, success, fame or some sort of choice.

Every person in this huge world has a dream about something. But this is a separate part that some of them want to fulfill their dream and some of them just see the dream and forget them when they wake up the next morning. Dreams can be of any sort like it can be about fear, horror, happiness, joy e.t.c...


Dreams can be followed only if you have the complete desire to fulfill them. Dreams are the part of life which are not preplanned. They are often seen when a person is slept. And it is said that dreams are the part of your mind. Whatever you think before sleeping, you usually see the dream related to that thought of yours.

Following your dreams is a nice idea if and only if your dream is meaningful for you. You can follow your dreams by filling the desire in you. Getting the desired outcome

We all have habits. Can be good or bad habits, which are something we do over and over again, repeatedly, and we all enjoy spending time repeating it. Sometimes there is an objective, which has good intention to self improve, but we expect to do the same thing with different result and outcome. We think "maybe this time will be different", or

Is it insanity - doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result?
Hope not, more likely you have fallen into habits that just aren't letting you get the results you desire or dream of.

I think if there is insanity, pick it from where you fail, drop the bad parts off your chest, and learn from this experience. This is the magic formula.

So repeat, do commit to learning what you need to change, start or stop doing to get the results you want instead of the results you continue to get. You are responsible for the results you have been getting so far, and you will be responsible for the results you get in the future.

Wouldn't it be nice to be responsible for getting the results you desire and dream of?

There is hope, there is life

When there is hope, there is life. Yes, HOPE is the main driving force in our lives. Hope propels us forward and makes our life worthy of living on. When there is hope, we can be patient and dream about the better futures. Positive thinking will enhance the life standards and reduces the stress levels.

Maria Duval says we should never let despair take over us for every simple defeat we face in life. Don't be always in a hurry mood, as hurry makes you worry. Have the patience and wait for some more time looking hopefully for the result. Certainly you will get the good result, as per the hard labor put by you.

Never show sympathy upon yourself. Instead you make yourself more capable and dependable...Never allow anxiety to overtake you. Develop this type of thinking as, still what I have to do? It is very difficult to please everyone always.

Never afraid of the changes that may occur in the circumstances where you are working but try adjust to them which gives relief from stress and strain. Be of the opinion that you are helping others and not think like that others are utilizing you.

You have got your thinking capacity and you need not depend on others for simple things. Speak to others sincerely and live heart fully. Always laugh with others (it is not good to laugh at others). Be friendly with others as far as possible. Be plain in your dealings. A sincere person is always liked by others.

More of an optimist

I think I am an optimist. That day, I dropped my wallet in a small shopping mart. Maybe my mind was in a dazed state. I just couldn't remember what were the places that I went to that I might drop it. Instead of sighing that was the end of the world, I told myself maybe someone would call me up. Of course, i was retracing where i had been too at the same time. Fair enough, about half an hour later, the shop guy called me up. The feeling was indescribable - as if you had scaled some tallest mountain around.

That's why I think i have gradually tuned from a pessimist to an optimist, who always thinks of positive outcomes for whatever might have happened. Fair enough again, things do not always turn out positively..things will get that smack in the face feeling sometimes. It just a kind of mindset that people should try to adopt. If majority of the poeple are positive thinkers in this world, imagine how nice this place would be.

I learn from Maria Duval to tune my mindset to be more positive.

- Always think positive. Always hope for good things. Don't take negative events seriously, and don't criticize yourself. Instead, tell yourself next time I'll do better and move on.

- If you've worked for months on a project, reward yourself for completing it, despite the consequences. Do something good without any reason. It will help you be more optimistic.

- If someone's attitude is negative towards you, or you're treated rudely by a customer service representative, don't get angry. Give them a big smile; your positive attitude may compel them to change their negative attitude.

- Because of a lot of work, tension builds up in your muscles. This tension should be released through exercise. This will make you feel relaxed.

- Very important. Spend time with optimists. However, they are in rarity...you have to treasure them if you find them.

Is Magic Real?

In the Harry Potter movies we watch children play Quidditch on a broomstick and little wizards and witches casting quick spells here and there with their magic wands. In the movie, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," we watch martial arts heroes literally flying among the trees to fight. These days we're flooded with all kinds of movies that bring magic into our lives. With all this new found interest in magic, most people are asking, "Is magic real?" What do you think? Is magic real and can you really have magic in your life?

Yes. Magic is very real and has existed as a precise science for thousands of years. Whether you call it magic, magick or majick, it is real. Every single person can learn to do magic. We were ALL born with the talents and abilities that empower us to do magic. The only reason that magic seems so, well, magical is that this society no longer teaches the art and science of magic. In the distant past, magical study was just as important as math, science or the arts. Even the miracles that Jesus performed were based on the use of magic. In fact, magic was and still is the birthright of EVERY planetary citizen.

Can you learn to do the kind of magic portrayed in the movies? Yes - and no. The movies are great at giving you a taste of what you can do with magic, but they aren't very accurate. In the Harry Potter movies, for instance, the characters use their wands for every magical operation. In reality, you can only use the wand to handle air energies. Your wand would actually explode or catch fire if you tried to use it to throw firebolts and fireballs like the characters do in the movie.

So what can you actually do with magic? Quite a lot. Here's a short list to get you started:

- Balance your energies for healing and manifestation

- Change old beliefs

- Defend yourself against physical and psychic attack

- Heal yourself and others

- Find hidden information and see possible futures

- Psychically communicate with other beings

- Create sacred space

- Find lost people and objects

- Manifest what you want and need in life

At the very basis of magic is the understanding of the four elements: Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Called elemental magic, these foundational elements are real. Air, Fire, Water and Earth are part of our natural everyday environment. What makes them magical is the understanding of how they operate not just on the physical level, but also at the levels of mind and Spirit.

For instance, while on the physical level Air is just the stuff we breathe, on the magical levels Air is the conduit of psychic communication, enlightenment, understanding, dreaming and more. If you want more of any of these things in your life, then you need more magical Air. How do you get more magical Air? Wear more Air colors, including white for communication and sky blue for enlightenment and understanding. To take this one step further, you could also take on more Air to make your body lighter.

By just extending your understanding and use of the basic ingredients of nature, you are doing magic! Seen in this light, magic isn't all smoke and mirrors, nor is it the result of Hollywood special effects. Magic is the result of truly understanding and working with the very elements that are all around you.

One final note: Many masters, including Wayne Dyer, have said, "You'll see it when you believe it." The same is true for magic. In other words, the suspension of disbelief and the willingness not to exercise contempt prior to investigation are requirements for magic to be "real." Magic is all around us, and always is, but our ability to perceive and use the forces of magic depends on our willingness to be open. No one else can show it to you, only your direct experience and observation can "prove" or demonstrate to you that magic is real.

We've found that one of the simplest ways to experience magic (and your own magical abilities) is to work with clouds. Clouds respond to your intention, and you can easily move, shape and manipulate clouds from a great distance. And moving clouds that are suspended hundreds of feet above you is quite magical, isn't it?

Become Free

We are slaves. Every day we wake up and go to work to get money. Then we buy things with that money. Lying on our death bed are we ever going to be proud of the things we bought? Will those objects make our lives worth living? No. We are going to remember the people and the memories we had with them. The work force, however, bears down on us limiting the time we get to enjoy our children, family, and friends. Put an end to this.

We need to get a grip on reality. There is no guidance in alcohol, the news, music. The only guidance there is that exists is that steady pull that we feel deep in our souls. That pull that guides us to where we are supposed to be. Society pounds that out of you from the moment you are born. We are bred to be consumers that exist to make others rich. We constantly walk around day dreaming because we cannot stand this reality. We must take back our existence!

Live by the sea

Maria Duval says water is flow of harmony and we are made up mainly of water...

One of my wishes is to live by the sea, preferably on a cliff about half a kilometer away from the waves. Whenever I need inspiration, I can just step to the roof and look at the blue sea further down, and instantly, worries and stresses would be relieved. Ideas might even flow!

One a open sunny day, I might even see some ocean liners moving past at the far horizon. To make it better, I would install a viewing binoculars at the roof so that I can look further. At night I can even learn about zodiac and astrology by looking at the stars in the wide southern hemisphere sky.

Just right below of my house down the gentle cliff slope, there will be carpet of wild plants that dance with the sea breeze. They are in brilliantly emerald green and lush in the sunlight. In the distance I can see the vague outline of some off shore islets and sometimes when I am lucky, can even catch some seals resting by the stones when i peep through the scope.


It is difficult to describe the peacefulness induced by this natural scene. The water laps backwards and forwards on the beach and birds glide lazily upon a gentle breeze. The scene is constantly peaceful, and constantly changing. There is motion and movement in a cyclical harmonious way.

As I have not stayed by the sea in this life, I'm frankly no idea how nice the feeling would be. Maybe the breeze would be too strong for comfort, and on a stormy day, it may even looking scary! What I do know is that everyone who lives inland has a yearning for the sea. Even those who suffer a fear of water still tend to love the sight of the sea or the ocean.

Healthy self love

Everyone loves to be loved. That's human nature. At home, workplace, schools and so on...And so often we do get that love. We really do. Even if we don't believe it!

I guess the big question will be how much do we really love ourselves? Yes, we may be so caught up in attracting attention, care and respect from others, we rarely stop to experience that beautiful feeling of love for ourselves, straight from our deep within. This is mainly due to society conditioning since we are young, since it is a virtue to show love and compassion.

Maria Duval says we have to differentiate between people who are egoistic and those who have a healthy self-love. They are two different things altogether. Egoistic people always want to be the centre of attention, they crave to be heard. It seems to us like they love nothing but themselves; the reality is that they are insecure and are sub-consciously longing for love and respect.

Healthy self-love on the other hand is something you experience from within. You don't broadcast it to the rest of humanity! You buy an expensive cell-phone because you want to gift it to yourself, you occasionally tell your husband you don't feel like cooking that day because you feel like you deserve a break!

In the end, love yourself truly and you'll discover the true balance in your life.

Life well-being

There is a common saying that health is your best form of wealth. This means we must take care of our health as if it were our material riches. To be healthy, lifestyle and the food we consume must be healthy in the first place. A well balanced diet and regular exercises are the first steps to achieve better health.

In my own opinion, to be healthy does not mean you must have a model like body or figure, but a body that is free and resistant to all forms of ailments. Avoid sweet and fatty foods. Eat food on time. Try not skip any meals and eat in regular portion as this aids in body metabolism.

Your body needs proper rest and sleep to remain healthy. Unless your body is well rested, it cannot perform optimally. If you are not well rested, then your mood goes down the drain the very next day as you get irritated easily.

What i have said so far are all about physical well-being. Equally important is the mental well-being whom Maria Duval has stressed many times in her advices to me.

Stress is the number one killer to achieve good mental well-being. Stress comes about when you are feeling pressured over work, life and own high expectations.

I know it is easier said than done. Stress is a silent killer as it can tortuously wind down your mental capacity without you even knowing it. Hence it is of utmost importance that you know your own mental state well.

I do my best not to bring any office work back to home as i view my home as a place that is out of bound from office mundanes. I want to achieve work and life balance at this stage of my life. I also spend weekends to unwind and spend quality time with my family. That in itself helps to relieve stress. It does help greatly!

Getting more philosophical..

Suddenly I realise that intuition is the key factor in understanding how the human mind and society evolved. Without intuition humans would never have taken the proper steps in the first place to achieve the state of evolution is has.

Through intuition the imaginative elaboration of physical sciences can be applied to known data, if you apply what resources a n intuitive mind holds, combined with a previously worldly taught regiment of reason and logic, you are bound to have good outcomes.

This is why philosophers and scientists who achieve these states of consciousness often are also inventors, with heavy backed up methodological theory and observation.

You start to notice the effects of evolution everywhere in nature, and the rational effect evolution has on our minds and consciences....

I think I'm getting more philosophical in outlook.

Open to Changes

"Change is hard because people overestimate the value of what they have - and underestimate the value of what they may gain by giving that up."

I read this statement the other day and it started the wheels turning in my head. How many of us are afraid of change? How many of us actually fight against change? It doesn't have to be life-altering changes such as divorce or job change, but it can be simple changes such as giving up a bad habit. For so many of us, even if we know the change will be better for us, will improve our lives, or will benefit our health - we still fight against it.

I have been afraid of change for most of my life. At times, the very idea of change paralyzed me. Even when I knew the change would give me greater happiness and would improve my overall quality of life, I was still frightened of the actual process of change. I held onto people, places, things, or habits that I knew were not good for me.

I realized that by holding onto those things I was trying to create a false sense of safety and security for myself. The problem with that - change is going to come no matter how hard we fight against it. Life keeps happening. Partners will leave us, people die, pets run away; jobs aren't as secure as they once were. This was the realization that I finally allowed myself to see which helped me to be more willing to embrace change.

Am I completely comfortable with change? No.

There are still things that I fret about. The difference is that I am now willing to accept changes. I am willing to cause changes in my life.

Peace in my mind

Generally, i am a rather relaxed person. I do not like crowded place nor noisy place. I like to be in solitude with my family or good buddies have a chat over some sports programs.

Lately, I've been experiencing this amazing feeling of total calmness, like nothing in the world matters except what's going on right here, right now.

I'm just going at my own pace, doing whatever I want to do, and it's incredible. No stress, no anything. Like tomorrow, I'm going to go out into the woods for a few hours and write whatever comes to mind. No deadlines, no rigid schedules, just doing what I enjoy.

I may even start writing books on effective relaxation techniques and living a life of complete relaxation. Just curious on how much other people value this. I'm into it so much I'm going to buy a hammock in the near future. Just something to use all the time. I guess I was kind of inspired by all the lazy way to success stories and passionate people who say that if you are doing what you love, it's not work. But I feel like I must be on my spiritual path now because nothing seems difficult to me, it just comes to me. "In an easy and relaxed manner."

Energy boosters

The society we live in today is very fast-paced and stressful. More people are putting in longer work hours as global economy recession has shrunk the job market and people got to prove themselves worthy employees even more so now. That's why it is important that people who are competing to make a grade in workplace got to find that extra ounces of energy to propel them going.

Maria Duval suggests three ways to improve your energy level.

1. Breathe and breath

One of the best steps you can take to immediately boost your energy is to simply breathe. It is interesting to note that in Chinese medicine, qi, is considered to be the “life-force” and is closely tied to the concept of breath. One of the ways that qi is generated in the body is by breathing deeply.

2. Sleep well and enough

Busy people like to let people know that they are so busy that they sleep just 3 to 5 hours per day. While they are young, that should not be a problem. But over a long period, it taxes in their long term health. Sleep is always the first thing people choose to sacrifice. Yes, I understand perfectly. Sometimes I sleep just 3 to 4 hours per day too. I try not to do that often. The next day, the energy level will be low and concentration is bad too.

Another aspect of sleep that is often overlooked is the time of night that you fall asleep. It is far better for your body to go to sleep around 11 to 12 midnight than it is to sleep from 2am to 10am, for instance. This is due to the fact that your body functions in hormonal cycles that follow the natural pattern of light and darkness throughout the day. If you are too out of sync with this natural pattern, you will feel out of sync when you wake up in the morning.

3. Energy food

Avoid sugary food. Yes it can give you short term energy boost, but it sags you down faster after that. Focus on protein instead. Insufficient protein is a common cause of fatigue.

Of course keep yourself well watered with 7 to 8 glasses per day. Low energy levels are very often attributed to not drinking enough water.

If you think you are not getting enough nutrients from meaks, try multivitamins. I wouldn't encourage that on long term too. Go natural as much as you can.

Flowers by the path

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house,the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house." The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

Mindless Thoughts

A friend of mine is very into stock market. He likes it enough to even think of being a full day trader.

Education system that we all went through emphasises in study hard and do well for exams for that when we grow up, we can secure a good and respectable blue collar job. So we will spend the rest of our lives working for money by trading our times. We buy houses, cars and set up families and we spend years clearing the debts we incur.

That is why my friend wants to get out of this devious cycle - the rat race- through an escape route available, which a man could build his own business or spend some money in investments. He chooses trading. The potentials are surely there.

The thing is, every few years, the stock markets would crash and cause economy downturns, and people will get devastated. There will come to a point where they would warn their children to get a secure job instead of being entrepreneurs and investing because risks. A wrong move could set you back years.

I am not sure why I write this today. It's just things that come into my mind and I just put it in.
