A Nature's Gift

Today for a change, I will write about ginger which I recently read has amazing health benefits. I think there are many wonderful gifts which Nature has given to us and ginger is one of them. It is commonly available and not expensive at all.

I read that ginger tea can boost energy and it comes with lots of health benefits. So instead of consuming those high sugar energy drink, why not replace it with ginger tea?

You can get gingers in supermarkets and for just over one dollar, you can get a really big size fresh ginger root.

I also tried to make ginger tea myself and I have fallen in love with the exotic minty smell it gives. It freshens and reinvigorates a tired mind, especially after a tough day at work.

How to make ginger tea

So to have 4 cups of ginger tea, I just need about one inch piece of ginger. Gently slice off it's skin and cut it into thin slices.

Boil a kettle of water and then add in the sliced ginger. Next, lower the heat and simmer the tea for about 15 minutes.

That will do.

If think that the taste is too odd, you can add some honey or lemon slices.

Health benefits of Ginger tea
If you have mild cold, you can use this great Nature's remedy of ginger to heal you. I have tried it when I caught a cold recently and it just worked great.

It is also good for soothing soar throat, improves immune system and improves digestion, improves blood circulation and regulates blood sugar.

Ginger tea is truly healthy and spicy drink that will give you extra energy, strengthens your immune system and refresh your soul and mind. Make yourself a cupful today for better living!

A matter of self-image

Self-image can be a thorny issue for an individual. It can surely make or break a person. When I was a young adult, I always seemed to have this issue of self-image, as if the world were looking at you like a weirdo. Yes, I am non conformative in nature and I did things my own way, often to the chagrin of the family. That is when self-image problem set in, "am I so weird in the eyes of all of you?", or, "i don't have good pals because i am weird."

Somehow, I know this can't go on if I want to be in the "mainstream". I began to self-improve. Gradually I saw some positive changes in me and overall self-confidence returned and I viewed myself as less critical.

However, small pieces of the old me still exist and surface from time to time, especially when there is stress in life and and I cannot help it. It's all in my genes I guess. Do not blame me!

The worst thing I have a problem with, is that I have a really hard time seeing a pictures of myself or seeing myself on TV, for whatever reason who will know. Its like as soon as I see myself, I feel completely flatted out. I used to have a problem looking in the mirror, but lately I have learned to overcome that years ago. Besides, Guys all need a mirror for shaving, aren't they?

Now here is what I cannot figure out. I have had members of the opposite sex look at my pictures and their responses have been from "Ugh", to "Wow!" So, short of having a hundred supermodels come up to me to tell me I am gorgeous, (which may not even work, although I would be extremely flattered), is there any way I can learn to accept who I am physically while at the same time work on looking my best?

A new chapter in life

We all sleep and wake up on the next day morning. That is routine. Do you realise what this means?

To me each morning when we wake up represents a new beginning, a new chapter in life. A new story about you, the lead character.

So what's the story of your life? What would you want people who read your book to know about you? What kind of hero will you be?

Treat each new day with awe and respect. Do not waste it indulging in some worthless vice.

As you self discover more about your purpose in life, you will begin to question the purpose of your existence in this world. The more you try to connect with this purpose, you will become clearer about the fulfillment of this life purpose. That is when happiness, peace and satisfaction come into. Spiritual.

Go within and find that source of consciousness that brings peace to your life. How does it feel? Does it make your life happier and resonate as being true to you?

Go into that feeling and find its source.

All of us have an existence here that is grander than all the things in your mind. This also serves as an acknowledgment and confirmation of that which you are. That which was, is, and will be regardless of your form, name, time or place.

Water is spiritual

Sea is a fascination to me. Imagine an almost endless amount of natural water that is miles deep and pitch black underneath with dangerous undercurrents and tides supporting its eco-system. Imagine is breathtaking span that occupies 70% of the total surface of the Earth. Water is sacred. Humans have always regarded water as spiritual and psychic (think of Christian baptism) and has saintly purification and soul rekindling properties.

There is also wind energy from the seas which is known by spiritualists to be able to remove the negative energy.

Sea has high salt content which is a soul cleanser. Do you know that by using salt, negative energies can be removed in your room? Yes, that is the effect of the sea too. Hence sea water can be used by psychics when they are embarking on any sort of extrasensory work.

Sea water can also be used to recharge lost energies or perk up your energy when you are tired. It is especially good to immerse in sea water when you are feeling exhausted.

In short, water is a sacred liquid when it comes to spiritualism. Religions in different parts of the world have recognized its importance in purifying and cleansing, from Indian Hindus to Catholics. There are also water wishing wells in temples that, as the name implies, allow people to sacrifice some money so that wishes can be realized. This is the fascination of water humans have.

Be bold to attract what you want

Do you think it is not easy to attract things you like in life? Maria Duval thinks it is really all inside our mentality - that it is hard to attract. Hence it forms a kind of resistance in your subconsciousness which is very powerful when formed. Thus this subconsciousness will always work against you silently in your life, thus making you to believe you are the one to be blamed for all hardships you have attained.

A simple question, how to know if you are resisting to your desires.

The most direct way to know if you are resisting is to feel how you think about your own personal desires. When you think of your desires how does your body feel? Do you feel tense up and nervous? This is a clear sign that you are not allowing the flow of positive cosmic energy to come into you.

So it forms a block and how will attractions come into your life? If there is fear or uncertainty, simply it means you are sending out to the Universe you are not ready to receive in return.

One way to improve is via visualization which is the most precious tool which supports the activation of the law of attraction. Although this is the case, most people have still do not visualize their desires to turn it into actual success.

The correct visualization skills can break down resistance between you and what you desire. It can also fasten the law of attraction being activated in your life. So I know the importance of it and I learn from Maria Duval about the most effective way to visualize.

Maria Duval's tips to remove negative energies from your home

Yes, it is true. There are negative energies inside your house. Too much of this will make you bode down with hard-to-recover illnesses, bad luck and even home disasters on the worst case. So are there ways to remove these negative energies? Let Maria Duval tell you seven ways to remove negative energies!

1. No clutter.
Are you the kind who likes to keep stuff like old magazines, dirty clothes or childhood stationary sets in your room? Yes, it is nostalgic but from the spiritual point of view, this is not advisable as negative energy needs objects to hang on to so it can remain around. Improve the energy flow of your house by keep it neat, clean and lean. By keeping your living space picked up, neat and clean. My personal practice is, do not buy unnecessary stuff on a moment of spur. Save money and save environment too!

2. Energetic Sound
Your neighbour may come after you after this! Play sound with high energy like drum beats, fireworks, or nature's furore when you feel the energy in the house is damp. It will break up energy patterns and allow them to disperse. Thunders are the Nature's equivalent of this!

3. Have living plants
.
This is one of the best ways to remove negative energies and add positive sources into your living area. By adding greeneries and living plants in your homestead. Put a pot of alluring plants at the dark corner of the room and illuminate the area with a spotlight adds live, verve and positive energy to your house! If possible, embellish your house with plants.

4. Meditation
I have mentioned about meditation countless times and I shall repeat it again. A session of meditation is a powerful signal of giving out positive vibrations to your house. This is like a spiritual broadcast of positive energy. A proper meditation will saturate a space with uplifting energy for several hours.

5. Play spiritual music
Spiritual music like Deep Resonating Aums by Eric Pepin. Use it when you meditate will bring out extra positive energy, and when listen it with a good stereo system, it is awe-inspiring and achieves a really deep spiritual cleaning all round.

6. Rearrange the furniture
This follows the Chinese art of fengshui meaning the wind and the water. Again negative energy needs something to hold on too thus by rearranging your space with as much wide open space as possible, negative energy will disperse and dissipate. You will find your mood is better after rearranging your furniture!

7. Salt carpets

If you have carpets at home, simply sprinkle dry table salt on the carpet, wait an hour and then vacuum the up the salt. Use approximately 3 to 6 spoonfuls of salt for a medium size room. Salt crystals have an amazing natural built-in ability to erase the programming of energy. Using salt is like using an eraser on a chalk board. The information on the board is wiped away.

Maria Duval's 12 tips to reduce stress in life

Plan your time well
Be more organised. Make a list of all the things you need to do and arrange them in order importance. Decide how much time you need for each job and then stick to your plan.

Spread out the changes in your life
Give yourself time to adjust from one change to another. For example avoid buying a house, changing jobs etc all at the same time.

Be realistic about what you can do
Choose your work according to your own ability and interest. Do not hope for the
impossible. Set goals for yourself that are achieveable so that you don't become frustrated or discouraged.

Make decisions wisely

Get all the relevant information first - don't make decisions blindly. Consider the good and bad points of each choice. Involve the people who will be affected by the decision in the process.

Learn to like yourself
Don't worry too much about your looks, height, pimples and other faults. Make the best of what you have and learn to accept what you cannot change.

Think positive
Prevent negative feeling from building up. Learn to identify the cause of these feelings and deal constructively with them. Don't blow things out of proportion.

Share your problems
Do not keep all your problems and worries to yourself. Remember you are not alone. Talk to your friend, supervisior, family member or religious leader. They may have had experience with similar situations and they may be able to suggest a solution to your problem.

Build a happy family
Be kind, loving and polite to your family. Treat them the same way you should treat your friends. They will provide you with love and support in times of need. Set aside some time each day to talk, play or relax together. Make your home a happy place to come back to after a hard day's work.

Make friends
Just as you need a happy family, you also need friends to talk to and laugh with, to visit you and go out with you and to help you in times of need. Treat others the way you would like them to treat you. RESPECT their views and be patient with their faults. Try giving in to others sometimes - even when you are right.

Keep Healthy
Keep your body healthy by exercising regularly, eating wisely and getting enough sleep. Do
not turn to cigarettes or alcohol to relieve your stress. Smoking and drinking do not solve
anything and will cause more problems for your health.

Make some time for yourself
Do something that you really enjoy. It could be a hobby like collecting coins or an exercise
activity like dancing. Take a short break when you feel tense or tired. You deserve to have
a little fun sometimes.

Learn some Relaxation Techniques
Deep breathing exercise, meditation, massage and muscle relaxation techniques can be
helpful in relieving stress.
