Sea is a fascination to me. Imagine an almost endless amount of natural water that is miles deep and pitch black underneath with dangerous undercurrents and tides supporting its eco-system. Imagine is breathtaking span that occupies 70% of the total surface of the Earth. Water is sacred. Humans have always regarded water as spiritual and psychic (think of Christian baptism) and has saintly purification and soul rekindling properties.
There is also wind energy from the seas which is known by spiritualists to be able to remove the negative energy.
Sea has high salt content which is a soul cleanser. Do you know that by using salt, negative energies can be removed in your room? Yes, that is the effect of the sea too. Hence sea water can be used by psychics when they are embarking on any sort of extrasensory work.
Sea water can also be used to recharge lost energies or perk up your energy when you are tired. It is especially good to immerse in sea water when you are feeling exhausted.
In short, water is a sacred liquid when it comes to spiritualism. Religions in different parts of the world have recognized its importance in purifying and cleansing, from Indian Hindus to Catholics. There are also water wishing wells in temples that, as the name implies, allow people to sacrifice some money so that wishes can be realized. This is the fascination of water humans have.
