Maria Duval - Mustika Bezoar Pearls--Notes

Mustika Bezoar Pearls--Notes
"Bezoar" comes from the Persian word, "pá zahar," meaning "antidote against Poison" (pa-cure, zahar-poison). The term is normally applied to stones found in the stomach and digestive system of animals. We use the term in a generic sense for concretions to be found in all organs of animals, plants, and in other aspects of Nature. Indonesian occultists and shamans with this definition in mind, refer to bezoar stones as "mustikas." In other parts of the East they are called by various names, such as "geliga" (Malaysia) and "Mutya" (Philippines). Ancient naturalists gave specific names to the bezoar stones as found in animals. For instance, bezoar stones of eagles were called, "Aetites," or "Aquilenus." A similar term, "Aquilinus" refers to the stones found in the head of fishes. "Crapandia" was the name of the stone found in toads. Swallows produced concretions called "Chelidonius." The stones found in cocks were called "Alectorius," and "Celonite" was the name of the bezoar stone found in tortoises. The occultist and naturalist, "Albertus Magnus," referred to the stone taken from the head of dragons as "Draconites." This latter bezoar stone was considered a great treasure by the kings and emperors of the East.

As a rule, bezoar stones or mustikas were, and are highly valued--to the knowledgeable they are regarded in high esteem for their practical qualities in the healing of mind, body, and soul, as well as conferring upon the wearer wonderful psychic and spiritual qualities when used in the correct manner. These pearls can be costly, one source relates that in contemporary times, some of these bezoar stones are offered by Traditional Medicine at a price of US$20,000 per stone!

Bezoar stones are mostly calculus concretions to be found in animals and plants, though they are also found (perhaps developed through different processes) in the environment in which these creatures live. Certain animals such as snakes, deer, centipedes, monkeys, wild goats, camels, porcupines, antelopes, etc. produce them in abundance. Some mustika pearls have their origin in so-called mythological creatures such as dragons and sea-serpents. Unusual stones and pearls in our collection were acquired by shamans and occultists possessing expertise in the field of mustikas.

Bezoar stones according to some scientific investigators, are composed mostly of calcium phosphate, with some elements of the crystalline mineral, "brushite." Certain bezoar stones contain oxide of iron, silex, alumina, etc. Gemologists may analyze them to be simply natural-mineral or semi-precious stones--but what makes these bezoar stones special and unique is their point of origin, and many owners of these pearls have come to realize that they contain a psychic intelligence or presence. Some psychics verify that bezoar stones have an indwelling elemental spirit called by occultists "fairies," "elves," etc.

Royalty were very fond of bezoar stones--not solely because of their exquisiteness or their unusual appearance, but because of the great magickal virtues that they confer to the possessor--virtues such as charisma, an authoritative-bearing, personal magnetism, psychic sensitivity, etc. Queen Elizabeth I, for instance, is historically recorded to have had several bezoar stones as part of her crown jewels. Xá Abás, one of the kings of Persia, was also fond of the stones. According to one legend, one of the Shahs of Iran gave several bezoar stones to Napoleon--something which "the conqueror" greatly honored. He later tried to destroy them in fire, perhaps so that they would not fall into the wrong hands.

In the "Garuda Purana," a Hindu scripture, bezoar stones are highly extolled; while in western literature, speaking of the toad-stone, Shakespeare acknowledged their existence in "As You Like It, (Act II, Scene i)":

Sweet are the uses of adversity,

Which, like the toad, ugly and venomous,

Wears yet a precious jewel in his head . . .

Bezoar stones are scarce--some are rare! Most have great beauty while others may look unsightly and as worthless baubles--but within them all lies great virtues and magickal power that are probably more potent than ordinary crystals and gemstones--especially for healing work. The contemporary practice of crystal healing is based on the ancient healing-art of applying the bezoar stones to the body to neutralize poison. As the latter were scarce, ordinary crystals and stones were used instead. One is most fortunate to possess these bezoar stones--especially the higher quality ones which are prized greatly by collectors and occult practitioners. They can be considered not only as investments--possession alone actually improves the financial and social condition of their owner--one reason why they were sought for by noblemen and kings. The knowledgeable occultist would know how to wield and take full-advantage of the power that these stones possess. These bezoar stones are actually physical representations of the "Cintamani" or the "wish-fulfilling" jewel of the Buddhists--they help to fulfill one's innermost and cherished dreams.

Most of these mustika pearls have their origin in the Indonesian archipelago--from the islands of Kalimantan (Borneo), Java, and Sumatra. It is a fact , though, that even in these islands bezoar stones are scarce.

---------------

Mustikas are unusual objects formed in animals and plants. They may assume the shape of regular oyster-pearls and tumbled stones or in unusual shapes and sizes. In their unpolished /untumbled state, they have a rough texture. Unlike oysters that form pearls out of irritation, Nature forms these pearls in the bodies of diverse animals, plants and fruits for some reason unknown as yet to us. They are unusual creations that may correspond to human cancers, cysts, and tumors. Not all animals or plants of the same species form these pearls, but they possibly do occur in almost every living being.

Unusual pearls have also been found in the bodies of saints and holy people; this might possibly be an indication that animal and plant pearls are the manifestation of an organism's highest energy crystallized and formed out of conscious or subconscious aspiration to a higher evolutionary level or state.

Some mustikas are fossilized parts of an animal or a plant, such as the eyes of a creature. After thousands or millions of years these eyes through a natural process have crystallized, hardened and acquired occult powers. The formation of a mustika pearl or a fossilized body-part are directed by Nature's invisible forces and intelligences. Normally these intelligences are elemental spirits that guide the process of the creation of a mustika pearl, and they subsequently make these pearls or fossils their home. Those carrying these pearls are served by the indwelling elementals in various ways; they help to strengthen their keepers aura and nervous system; they confer positive energies; they empower the brain centers, etc.

The natural energies of these pearls attracts luck, neutralizes and wards-off negative forces. They have a natural tonic effect upon the physical system. They are more powerful than ordinary gemstones and crystals when applied for certain purposes. Added onto ritualistic items such as wands, they would truly empower an occult practitioner's magickal operations. Western occultists have yet to investigate and discover the power of these mustika pearls that heretofore have only been mentioned in myths and fairy tales--as secrets known only to the ancients.

Mustikas are widely known in South-East Asia, India, and other countries of the East. Malays, for instance, call Mustikas "Geliga"; Phlipinos call them "Mutya." Occidental naturalists of the past referred to them as "bezoar stones." The powerful stones told in tales and legends are actually mustikas. The Sanskrit text, "Sri Garuda-Puranam," speaks in detail of these pearls. In essence it declares a man acquires great fortune and blessings by possessing a mustika.

These magickal pearls are one-of-a-kind, unique, rare, and powerful. It is said that only fortunate people are able to acquire and keep them.

Where Are They Mostly Found and Acquired?

The mustikas--pearls and fossils accessible to us from our sources--have been acquired mostly in the Indonesian archipelago. They have been discovered in caves, jungles, sacred places, historical sites and in the remains of animals and plants. Some of them were magickally retrieved from the etheric planes by occultists who specializes in this unusual feat. The power within these pearls are sometimes known by the psychic struggle the occultist had to go through with the spirit guardians in order to acquire them. Quite a number of these pearls were gifts to our sources by tribal shamans and chieftains.

How the existence and virtues of the pearls are discovered could sometimes occur quite by accident. For instance, tribal hunters may find an animal exhibiting a degree of invulnerability to their weapons; after having finally killed the animal with the help of a shaman, they would discover that the creature possessed strange pearls lodged or embedded in their head or body. Subsequent investigation would reveal that it was these pearls that gave the animal its invulnerability power. Animals are not hunted or killed for mustikas/pearls, though, as shamans know that they can hardly be found in that manner--the discovery of a pearl is often incidental to the killing of a creature for food or because they are a menace to villagers. Pearls are mostly found in the remains, dens, and nests of the creatures.

Centipede are one of the many creatures that form pearls. These pearls are formed by the mucous of the giant centipede, which it plays about with its mandibles and then places it on top of its head where it crystallizes and in time falls off to the ground. Some centipede pearls are formed in the stomach. Genuine centipede mustika pearls are prized by gamblers for the luck that it bestows upon its master.

Generally speaking, the virtues of pearls are known by the observation of their effects in one's daily life as they are carried, worn or attuned to by certain methods such as psychic contact with the indwelling elemental spirit. Some of the pearls have quite unusual physical effects, such as the costly and rare Mustika Merah Delima that tinges water where it is immersed in with a red coloring--or so the story goes.

How to Determine the Real from the Fake

There are various ways for determining whether a mustika is real or a fake. Some of the various points to be considered are the following:

The Energy Present

When a pearl is held between the thumb and forefinger, as the breath is held, energy would be felt as issuing forth from it. The longer it is held the stronger will the energy be palpable. The energy would run through one's arm and finally reach the heart or to one of the other chakras within the body depending upon its quality. Fakes do not give such sensations.

The Presence of an Elemental Spirit

Each and every one of the mustika pearls have an indwelling elemental spirit--fakes do not have them unless attached by a knowledgeble occultist. The presence of the spirit may be felt and communicated with by a psychic.

The Medicinal Properties.

Without exception, all mustikas have vibrational healing virtues which may be tapped into. Again, fakes do not possess such power.

The Difference Between Mustikas and Ordinary Consecrated Talismans

There are several principles that differentiates mustika pearls from talismans. Among them :

1) Mustikas are empowered by Nature's forces and intelligences--unlike talismans which are consecrated by human operators.

2) The power and elemental spirit within a mustika pearl are not extinguishable or transferable to other objects, unlike the power within talismans which may be magickally neutralized or transferred to other items.

3) No observances or prayers are required for mustika owners in order to maintain its power or have them function perfectly--unlike talismans which do.

Occult Fiction: Novels for Your Private Collection, Part 2
No contemporary Occult fiction collection would be complete without Jim Butcher’s “Harry Dresden” novels. This series is so popular with dark urban fantasy fans that a television show, “The Dresden Files,” has been created from the concept.

So far Butcher has written eight novels in the series, and I hear he envisions twelve more. Certainly good news for Occult fiction fans!

Harry Dresden is a Wizard, the only one in Chicago who advertises his services, working from a sparsely furnished office, the level of disarray always dependent upon whether his latest visitor was human or not. He scrambles to make the rent every month, since his cases rarely turn out the way he imagines. This is due partly to a steady stream of questionable clients, but mostly to Harry’s heart, which shimmers with gold and never considers the current state of his wallet.

Harry lives in a basement apartment with no electricity. He uses candles for light and suffers through cold showers, since electrical appliances tend to misbehave in the presence of a Wizard’s energy field. Harry’s “lab” sits beneath the apartment, stocked with hundreds of items used for spellcasting. Here you’ll find Bob, an ancient air spirit who inhabits a dusty human skull and is the source for most of Harry’s spells. Besides being a virtual encyclopedia of magick, Bob possesses a wry wit, providing the perfect touch of reality and humor to Harry’s chaotic days.

Butcher has succeeded in creating a cast of delightfully complex characters, yet each scene in these novels flows as smoothly as city water from the tap. I cannot say enough about his talent as a novelist. Butcher wrote the first book in this series while he was still in school. It was awful. But he continued to tweak the story for several years until it reached the high level of craftsmanship fans of Occult fiction demand. And the rest is publishing history.

Any reader who values expertly written dark urban fantasy, dazzling magick, a fast-paced plot, and hilarious characters should definitely consider Jim Butcher’s “Harry Dresden” series as an essential part of their Occult fiction collection. I know I do.

Simply Psychic
Dating After Death or Divorce Deciding to get back into the dating pool after the death of your partner or after a divorce can be a very intimidating prospect. Wondering if you have waited long enough, are emotionally ready to date someone new, and how you will meet available partners are all valid concerns. If you have been in a long relationship and it has been a long time since you dated or met anyone new you are interested in, the idea of going through the process of meeting someone and getting to know them can seem like a daunting task after being in a relationship where you were so comfortable. As nerve wracking as it can be, if you have the right attitude getting back into the dating pool can be an exciting and worthwhile adventure. What follows are a few things to keep in mind as you stick your big toe back in the dating pool. 1) Give yourself time to grieve your past relationship. Whether your relationship ended because of death or divorce, you need to grieve. Loosing a partner to death is devastating. Divorce is also very painful. You need to acknowledge your feelings and process your grief before you can fully commit to pursuing another relationship. 2) Let go of the past. This absolutely does not mean that you stop loving the person you have lost. Frankly, I wouldn’t want to date someone who stopped loving their partner simply because they had died. But it does mean that you have to let them go, accept that that relationship is over, and desire to move onto a new phase of your life. The same goes for people who are divorced. In order to move on to something new, you have to let go of the old. Learn from your mistakes and approach the future with a clean slate. 3) Acknowledge your needs. No matter what our age, we all have the need for human companionship. It is ok to want to have someone in your life. Whether it is just to have a companion to have dinner and participate in other activities with or whether you are looking for a serious relationship that may lead to marriage, you need to acknowledge your needs and be OK with it. 3) When is it enough time? This can be a difficult question to answer. We are no longer bound by convention in society that says you must wait a specific period of time before dating. Many people are afraid of what people will say if they appear to be dating too soon or they have their own feelings of guilt thinking they are betraying their former partner by dating someone soon after a loss. The answer is when you are ready you are ready. For some people that is a year or more, for some it is a lot less. You may meet someone you really like a lot sooner than you plan and want to date them or it may take you a while to find that special someone. As long as you have paid attention to rule number one above, let your heart guide you. Life is short. Do you really want to pass up an opportunity for possible happiness because you are afraid you have not waited long enough? 4) Be cautious. I wish I could say everyone out there is pure in their motives. Unfortunately there are people out there of any age who prey on vulnerable people. If you have not been in the dating world for a while, your anxiousness and excitement when you meet someone new may cloud your judgment. Exercise caution for your physical safety as well as your personal safety. Get to know someone before you tell them where you live. Meet them in a public place the first several times you see them. NEVER discuss financial information until you know someone very well. NEVER give someone money or the keys to your house. Use common sense. If someone really wants to get to know you they will understand why you want to meet in public or take things slow. Also there is safety in numbers so consider taking another single friend with you to single events. It can help you feel more at ease at singles events where it is easy to feel awkward. 5) Have fun. Whether you are looking for a long term relationship or something more casual take time to enjoy the experience of meeting new people and being sociable. Every person you meet will not be a Mr. or Ms Right but that does not mean you can’t enjoy their company and make a new friend. Plus, you never know who they might introduce you to! While dating again after a death or divorce can be anxiety provoking and stressful, how you approach it can go a long way to have a positive attitude and get the most from your experiences. If you consider these tips you will be on your way to putting yourself out there in a positive way.

Meditation Exercise - Breath Meditation
Breath Meditation

Your breathing is one of the easiest things to concentrate on during meditation. It is always there providing a solid life force whether you are aware of it or not. During this meditation technique we are going to focus solely on the breathing. This is a great way to relax and as a little side benefit you become more aware of how your body functions and hopefully have a little more respect and gratitude for the amazing job your body does..

Ok lets start by finding a comfortable, calm place to meditate. If you can change the lighting set it to a nice, low, unobtrusive level. Sit in a position where you feel comfortable and relaxed. Close your eyes and rest your hands in your lap.

Now I'd like you to bring your attention to your breath. Concentrate on the rhythm of your breathing. Don't try to force it, just let it come naturally. Feel the air as it moves in and out of your body. When you feel nice and relaxed I'd like you to direct your attention to your nose. Concentrate on this spot for a few minutes, feel the movements of the air as it passes through your nose. Think about the sensations it makes. Does it feel cool? Does it tickle slightly? Take note of everything you feel and be aware of the air passing through your nose at that exact moment.

Now I want you to direct your attention to other parts of your body. Move your attention down to your throat. Concentrate on this area, does your throat move when you breath? Can you feel the cold air pass over your throat? Think about any sensations that you feel and just be aware of how the air feels as it moves through your body, nourishing all your organs and keeping you strong and healthy.

Concentrate on your throat for a few minutes then move down to your chest. Become aware of your chest rising and falling with each steady breath. How does this feel? Is it calm and relaxing? Does your chest move more than you expected it to? Or is your breathing more shallow? Feel the air as it enters your lungs. Is there any movements or vibrations in your chest that you weren't expecting? Continue to concentrate in this area for a few more minutes.

Now I'd like you to move onto your solar plexus, or navel area. How does your breathing effect this area? Perhaps there is a lot of movement down here, or there may be no movement at all. It's ok if there's no movement, just take a note of this. Concentrate on this area for a few minutes then move on.

Repeat this process for every area in the body that you have time for. You can concentrate on any area of the body at all from your hands to your feet. Try your back or shoulders, does your shoulders move when you breath? How about your thighs, can you feel any movement there? Move around each area in turn concentrating slowly on that particular area for several minutes. Think about the muscles in that area. Is your breathing helping to relax those muscles? If you feel tense simply release that muscle and let it relax.

Once you have covered all the area's that you want to cover bring your attention back to your chest. Concentrate once more on the rising and falling of your chest as the air enters and leaves your lungs. Then slowly begin to release your concentration. Begin to see your body as a single unit, notice how the air travels the entire length of your body and is not specific to just one part. Feel the air as it enters your body then travels to all the muscles and all the organs within your body.Relax and enjoy this feeling for a while. Then when you feel comfortable slowly bring yourself out of meditation and enjoy the rest of your day.

Have You Ever Had Your Palm Red? Online Psychic Readings Are As Easy As 1, 2, 3
Okay, I couldn't resist flashing back to childishness and old jokes, and I don't have any red paint on me at the moment. Nowadays, you don't need to leave your own home to have an online psychic reading of your future and like everything else, you will find it online. You can even train to be a psychic online because many psychics are offering to teach you how. They ?provide clear information? about the latest psychical research with news from ?trustworthy? official psychic organizations with the official bodies and federations, along with teaching about psychic abilities and offer to teach you how to do readings. There are classes, study courses, clairvoyance readings practice, just to name a few options. You can learn to read Tarot cards and different practices such as Mediumistic and Rune readings, along with listening to audio recordings of the New Age gurus. Some online psychics invite you to visit their chat rooms and be social with other psychics and meet new people.

There are true psyches around, and the good ones offer their services for the good of others. Many work for police departments looking for missing people or searching for bad people. True psychics are not out to clean you out and some do make a living out of telling people their futures. There are many though that are just complete thieves and those are the ones you need to look out for. They promote themselves as clairvoyants or psychics and claim they have powers that enable them to read a persons future, make contact with a dead loved one, or tell you who your going to marry. However, they are not psychics, they just have the ability to read people well and tell them what they want to hear, and all the while filling their pockets with peoples' hard earned money. Here are a few tips to help you see a fraud psychic.

? The most common method is ?cold reading,? this involves reading body language, and listening to your voice.

? Over confidence is a good warning, if they build themselves up to were they can do no wrong, watch out!

? Questions about your background. This is unnecessary, if a ?psychic asks you where were you born, your parents religion, or even educational level, move on.

? Gaining your cooperation in advance. These ?psychics? claim they need your full cooperation and if nothing happens, you weren't a ?true believer.?

Now, you are not able to see these things with online psychic reading, so you should be very careful when paying for online readings. Try not to take online psychic readings too seriously and use them for what they are there for, to have fun and to satisfy your curiosity about online psychics. Do you really want to know what your future holds for you? Wouldn't you rather be surprised about what exciting things the future holds for you and yours?

Life’s Great Question " WHY?
Who Does God Reveal Himself To? The great question "Why" has forever been upon the lips of man as he ponders his own existence. Those few who have been able to answer this question were quietly passed by, unheeded, in the struggle for survival. The whys of the world is why we seek answers. Why is easy, God experiences Himself through His creation. He reveals himself to himself by experiencing himself. Sound, far fetched? Think about it. Who is God revealing himself to? Why would he have to reveal himself to anyone or anything? God is self contained, self motivated, in need of nothing, continually creating, and formulates all the rules. He doesn’t need to impress anyone, has no spouse or enemies " woe you say, what about Satan? Ha, nothing exist outside God, so God created Satan to complete his own experience. The fact is, good can’t exist without bad, there would be no reference point " one has to exist for the other to exist. What Is The Meaning Of Life? Why brings the question of What. What is the meaning of life in the first place? Why create life extending into the future without purpose? Scholars, Professors, Theologians, great Religious leaders, have pondered this question from the dawn of time yet, no one can agree on its true meaning. Man is the catalyst, the go between, the deciding factor. Man decides, and creates an effect while God experiences the result. Man struggles along the path of life with a heavy heart and bleeding feet only to find in the end the grave awaits. He harbors resentment, a sense of incompetence which besets his every avenue; and in his blind groping he lifts his hands in speechless anguish, and his weary cries stir the air with supplications to an apparently unheeding God. Where art thou oh Lord? Why do you forsake me in my hour of testing? And man shakes his fist at a God he no longer understands, because he is no longer willing to surrender. Man has become disconnected, disengaged in God’s creation. His greatest achievement gone astray, turned inward, crippled in his own self calamity. . Why Do People Have To Suffer? Why the suffering, the sorrow, the sin, the sickness and a lifetime of trouble, only to be met at last by the grim and sinister tomb? Why are people destitute, troubled and unforgiving? Who can comfort in the loss of a child or see solace in the eyes of a dieing mother. Why do people inflict pain on each other for personal gain? And the tomb awaits, silent, cold, steadfast for man’s last performance. Why, why, why? Man seeks wisdom only to discover foolishness; he seeks the learned only to find a lack of wisdom. Why, why, why? His cry has appeared to go forth into an empty void. A Cry From The Soul But wait! from somewhere within, a whisper of an answer comes, some subtle inner sense of things; some unknown presence has surfaced to give an answer as a still small voice speaks, "Man, know thyself." And the inner man, gently prompts and prods as man goes wandering along in his own self indulgence. God has not turned away from man, it is man who has turned away from God. And God silently grieves for the finest in his creation. Is The Natural Man Lost? The Instinctive (natural) Man has again spoken and told this lost creature to search more deeply into his own nature; the soul; to look deep within himself for the answer to life. Enter the closet and seek God’s answers for the hour has come in the progress of man when he can understand this voice and do its bidding. And if you are right with God, the answers will come, although at times, they will not be the ones you sought. Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. We no longer have to cry in torment, we Know. We no longer need to ask if there is a God, or if we dare to speak to Him; we do not analyze, dissect, affirm, or deny, We know. We trust in God because first we "Know in whom we have believed." The sooner the one who is seeking realizes that truth must be revealed through his own soul, and not that of another, the sooner he will attain solace. Is It Right To Prosper? Health, happiness and Success belongs to the children of God because they are the heirs of God’s promise. If His created creature has indeed become His adopted children then they have dominion over the creation through His promise. It is mankind who has dominion over the earth and everything in it, not Satan. For sin shall not have dominion of dominance over you: for you enact the law through his grace. What about life, how do you, as a God fearing person overcome worldly temptations? How do you fit in with non-believing family members, co-workers, friends, and the rest of the world? First off, let’s look at the makeup of man and the areas he must master to be a true Achiever. “He who makes himself a sheep will be eaten by the wolves” In the next article we will delve deeper into the mysteries of life as they impact the makeup of a believer. We will take one more step into the uncovering of the human spirit/soul connection and its importance as a broader, deepening of understanding within a material/spirit world. Happy Trails

Powerful Words
We have the power to achieve, create and change circumstances in our lives. We are born powerful. Our Creator did not leave us helpless, poor and weak. He gave us all the tools to not only survive but fulfill our destiny to the utmost. We are all born for a purpose. It does not matter where we came from or the circumstances of our birth, youth or present lifestyle. Let us consider these Words: “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; forsake not the works of your own hands.” (Isaiah 138:8) “I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works.. My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.(Psalm 139:14-16) “Thus says the Lord, thy Redeemer; the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17) These are just a few Words of Promise that you can stand on and act upon. The Bible is filled with them. Not only is God’s Word better than the thoughts and words of great thinking and creative genius, it transforms people! Why? Because they penetrate the heart! They don’t merely appeal to your intellect, emotions or common sense, like ordinary words. The Word of God is “Quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (body), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God is Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Freedom from fear, despair, suffering, and anxiety is the greatest gift you can get. It fills you with hope, love and faith which transforms into real Power.. Jesus is also called the Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with of God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) He came to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. (Isaiah 61:3) Furthermore, to those who believe in Him He gives the power to become the sons of God. (John 1:12) That amazing power is not just for us to read about in the Bible. That kind of supernatural power is available to each and every one of us, every moment of every day! God's truth allows you to experience His grace and His power. So, instead of solving your problems by your own minute power, allow me to encourage you to reach out and tap into God’s Power. It's available for each one of us, smart or not, rich or poor, happy or miserable - any time we call upon His name.

Simplicity, Patience And Compassion: The Three Treasures
According to Eastern tradition there are three treasures on the pathway to enlightenment: simplicity, patience and compassion. At first glance, such simple ideas. Yet after contemplation one easily recognizes: it?s these basic thoughts, when woven into our day, that can lead each of us to a contemplative, peaceful and more fulfilling life.

In this short article then, I invite you to take a page from Eastern religion: explore the three treasures and become aware of your relationship to them.

Simplicity
The first treasure: simplicity. Simplicity in thought and action. According to author Thomas Cleary in his translation of Taoist Meditation, simplicity leads the seeker on the Way. Simplicity of thought, he tells us, can often be brought about by silence. And in the silence, we gain personal wisdom. If finding 10 or 20 minutes each day to rest quietly or meditate could bring you closer to peace, would you be more conscientious in devoting this time?

Simplicity of action, however, feels a greater challenge. It involves priorities and discovering what is truly important. Here?s how I personally handle this: When I feel overwhelmed by my ?to-do list? I create a game by challenging myself to let go of everything I can do without. Then, I remove as many things as I can from my list. What I am left with are those items of greatest importance. I devote as much time necessary to completing each task with joy and precision.

Try it now. What can you remove from the task list today that could bring you closer to simplifying your life? What will you place your attention on?

Patience
Treasure number two: patience. Yes, the virtue. And just like simplicity, it is also a challenge to move slowly through tasks until they have been completed or to remain calm when dealing with someone outrageous. I?ve found that we are often mirror images of others and attract to us parts of ourselves. This is important to note as it could manifest positive or negative events, depending on mindset. In this light, Inalya Vanzant reminds us to keep thoughts pure. She tells us to remind ourselves: "I will gain more understanding when I realize... how I interpret what comes at me is a reflection of what is in me." When faced with a situation requiring patience ask yourself: Am I casting a positive image?

In this framework, more of my favorite wisdom comes from author Richard Carlson in his new book: Easier Than You Think. In it he explains, when we are with someone, we should make every effort to pay expert attention to that person. This engages them and often can diffuse a stressful situation by simply making them feel important. With this in mind, the next time you engage in conversation or even a casual chat with someone: ask yourself if you are creating a role model's image.

Compassion
Compassion, the third treasure. I often liken it to empathy. Although we cannot always know directly what it is like to be another, we can value everyone?s need to be heard. Conflict or anger is often a cry for help. We simply need to be aware of our circumstances in effort to create compassion in our lives. We will be called to help others as we become more enlightened vessels of peace. Events will come to us as a reflection of what we need to heal in ourselves.

Thomas Cleary reminds us we should always act in sincerity. In Taoist Meditation he writes: ?to choose what is good and hold onto it firmly is a matter of sincerity.? Compassion, as well, challenges us to define what is most important to us; a reoccurring theme throughout the three treasures. To me, this involves being awake and aware in our lives to see the ways in which we are available to give sincerity and service.

Today, be aware of the ways spirit is working through you. Remember: You are the vessel of peace for others and the world. I believe, the more we become vulnerable to trust and open ourselves to sincerity, the more we can allow compassionate behavior into our lives and become enlightened each and every day.

In Conclusion:
It is my wish these positive ideas enhance your life and bring you peace. Be conscious every day of the messages you are receiving, the people you meet, your experiences. It is amazing the way these simple ideas can enrich your life exponentially. Go forth then, and be aware. Place your attention on the three treasures: in the darkness they will bring you light.
