Maria Duval - Peace With Technology

Peace With Technology
Okay, I admit it, I’m up past my eyeballs in a new computer and things are not going as swimmingly as promised. Let’s leave brands and operating systems out of this equation. My situation prompted a question for me. Does technology foster peace?

I Stand for Peace
We have skilled experts in the science of peacebuilding, effective programs that reduce and prevent violence, and our colleges and universities are already training the next generation of peacebuilders. What we lack is the political will, visionary leadership, and institutional platform needed to create a strategic, focused effort to empower our citizens, communities and country to resolve conflict before it erupts into violence.

Peace Awaits
"The thing is: if Peace is the most important thing to me in the world, then I am honor-bound to make my every decision count for peace. I ask: Does this (whatever this is) contribute to Peace? Mine? That of others? The world? For every single thing I do."

Peace at Heart
Circumstances can seem to run the show in our lives. This happens so that happens. That happens so I do this. Circumstances can also supply the gift of boundaries to us. Dr. Susan Corso illustrates how.
