Maria Duval - Your Perfect Day, How Would It Be?

Your Perfect Day, How Would It Be?
The perfect day of your life, how would it look like? How far away do you think you are from this perfect day? What can you do to make this perfect day reality? Let’s find out by doing the following exercice! The right side of your brain has retained the image of that you came here to do on this Earth. Your education and the influence of society have taught you to rely on the left side of your brain, and you have lost contact with the right side. But this contact can be easily restored. Your right side works with images. When you are imagining about your perfect life, the images that pop up come straight from the image archive room in the right side of the brain. These images of the perfect day and what you wish to do, your dreams, are not arbitrary. They are the reflection of your mission, your true task here on Earth. This mission is calling you and encourages you to discover it. Do this revealing exercice on paper : image the perfect day, even as you go about all your daily responsibilities. So it’s not a holiday at the beach! Describe as accurate and detailed as possible what you are doing, how you are doing it, what activities you are involved in, what people surround you, and so on. Let your imagination flow freely and do not limit yourself to the usual restrictions. Remember: this is an exercise of imagination. No need to take reality into account. You are free to fill in the blanks as you wish! Do make sure you are working in the environment of your choice, doing exactly what you like to do. See yourself using your main talents and feeling a deep sense of enthusiasm offering your key talents to other people around you. Visualize how your job gives you total satisfaction. Ask yourself: “If I loved myself, how would I spend my day?” Come up with as many practical details as possible: what time are you getting up, what are you wearing, what are you having for breakfast, do you commute to work or do you work at home, what’s your job exactly, from when to when are you working, where and with whom do you take lunch, etc. Detail the entire perfect day right until the moment you go back to sleep. Write in the present tense, as if you were living the perfect day right now. Do not use negative words like : not, no, without… Important : write down your perfect day, so you can read it over again. Take at least 15 minutes to do this exercice, you are worth it! What have you learned from doing this exercise? Could it be that your mission is already partially accomplished without you noticing it? Since you were able to write down your perfect day, where you use your talents and offer them to others, it must be that you are closer to that reality than you think! This exercise provides you with a clear image of your true mission. Have a look at your notes and make a guess about how close you are to this perfect day. Give it a note from 0 to 10. What can you do right now to get closer to 10/10? What do you need to change in your life to be able to live your perfect day, day after day? What does it need to live as if you loved yourself? What is withholding you? Is it a person, a belief, the circumstances? Don’t forget you create your own life, according to your belief system. If your life doesn’t match your perfect day, make some changes! You are worth it! Do this exercice every 3 to 6 months. Remember you don’t need to undergo circumstances. You are the creator of your life! Write down your perfect day on a regular base and do things to get closer to it. It’s all up to you!

Dream Interpretation
Dreams may occur as a sign or either as a warning to a person who is not aware with his/her surroundings. Interpretations of our dreams are sometimes help us to be able to understand it's meaning. We tend to realize how does it affect our moods, attitude and we learn how to deal with it. By learning we discover things beyond our imagination. All of us has different and unique dreams depending on it's interpretations and meaning. By understanding the meaning of our dreams we gain self-knowledge and developed our inner communication with unnatural feelings. It is best to start writing down as much as what you still remember on your dreams and find it's definition and meaning. How do dreams bring us to reality? it is by acknowledging it's source and through this we become aware. Dream interpretation is a good source of knowledge and ideas in dealing with our personal life, relationship, future and even the unfinished business. For Example I remember dreaming of a baby or nourishing a baby it means: To see a baby in your dream, signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings. Babies may symbolize something in your own inner nature which is pure, vulnerable, and/or uncorrupted. Babies may represent an aspect of yourself that is vulnerable and helpless. If you dream that you forgot you had a baby, then it suggests that you are trying hide your own vulnerabilities; You do not want to let others know of your weaknesses. This also signifies Happiness. Rebirth and Trust. We must find our own way to interpret our own dreams. The best way seems to be asking your dream a question. 1. What were you doing in your dream? 2. What are the issues, conflict, problems and unresolved situations in your dreams? By answering few of this questions gives us a clearer explanation with what are we dream about. The best approach to tackling a tough dream is to relax. If you become worried easily and find that when trying to work with and analyze one of your dreams you quickly begin to become exasperated by its difficulty, it may be a good idea get relaxed first.

Attitude Is A Really Big Thing
Regardless of your age, your place in life, your occupation, or the ways you choose to spend time, I can guarentee that your attitude is one of the most significant things that determines your happiness and contentment in life.

Attitude is so powerful because it is one of the few things that every single person has the ability to be in control of regardless of any other factors in life. When life is going well and we have no complaints we can choose what kind of attitude to face each day with. Fortunately, when our lives seem like they couldn't get any worse we can also choose what kind of attitude we will have each day.

Can you think about a time in your life when your attitude made all the difference? Or, maybe think of an example from the life of someone you know. Can you think of a situation when all things looked grim and yet you or someone else's attitude made that situation better just by being positive?

You may be wondering why it is important to keep a good attitude regardless of other factors in your life. Good question. One thing I've learned about life is that it will not always go my way. It is highly unlikely that every single day for the rest of my life will be filled with joy, friendships, and peace. It is possible, but unlikely. It is much more likely that life will throw me things I wasn't expecting. Tragedies, sicknesses, and relationship trials will come my way and it will be my attitude that determines how those events affect me.

Keeping a good attitude in life allows us to remember that even in tough times we have much to be thankful for. Choose to let your attitude reflect this perspective rather than reflecting the fact that you are not getting exactly what you want at a moment in time. Let your attitude reflect all of the ways that your life has been blessed and all of the good things that have happened to you.

We have all heard it said that "attitude is a little thing that can make a big difference." I agree with whoever said those words wholeheartedly, but I'll even take it a step further and simply say that attitude is a big thing. Attitude is perhaps one of the biggest factors that determines the path and results we see in life. When we can look at the worst situations with hope and a right perspective, nothing will be too difficult to bear.

A Midsummer Wicca Sabbat
Celebrating the Sabbats is extremely important for any Witch. It is important to "recharge" your Magick batteries throughout the year, and that is one of the purposes for Sabbats. Sabbats are a time to relax and take a break from your Magick work.

Your energy can be depleted throughout the year, and you need to relax. Eat good food, spend time with friends, and enjoy all that life has to offer. Don't focus on spells - but focus on celebrating nature, the Goddess, and the Sabbat on hand...

Here is a simple way to celebrate the Midsummer Sabbat - as an example...

Call upon the God and Goddess to come into your circle, bringing with them the blessings of Divine Spirit.

Take the time now to connect with the God and Goddess. Contemplate on the meanings that Midsummer holds. It is a time for love, healing, protection, and purification. It is a time for the Earth to ripen from the seeds first sewn and coming to life past the energies of Spring. See these life forms growing. Send your blessings to their form, as though an unborn child about to burst forth from the womb.

Take time to think about the full season, the blossoming of the Earth energies, and the power that we receive from our connection to her. Contemplate the joys and blessings of your own life, and share it with her. Send the love and warmth that you feel into the ground beneath your body.

When you are done communing with the energy of the Earth Mother, and sharing her blessings and yours, then thank her for her patience in your growth. Send to her the love that you feel as her caretaker. Ask her if there is anything that you can do for her during this coming season that will offer enrichment to her existence. Listen carefully and follow through with anything she may ask of you.

When you have spoken again to the Earth Mother and have heard her words, it is time to come back to your physical state of awareness. Ground yourself and any excess energy into the Earth beneath you. If you want, have a light snack of raw fruit to help ground, and to honor the bounty of the Earth that is to come. Thank the Spirits and the deities that you have called to your circle and ask them to depart, and then close your circle. When you leave your circle, give thanks again for connecting to the God and Goddess, and the Earth, on this honored occasion.

As you can see, the Sabbats do not have to be celebrated in full ritual format, but they can be as simple or complicated as you make them.

5 Reasons To Not Let Depression Control You Anymore!
Family ? It can be very vexing to loved one?s when you are depressed. On one hand they want nothing but the best for you, but on the other they sometimes get frustrated and wonder why you can?t simply snap out of it. It can be particularly hard on children of someone with depression as it may affect their outlook on life for many years to come. Having experienced this myself, I can say definitely this the number one reason to fight your depression.

Work - Work life generally suffers when in the throws of depression. It is more difficult to concentrate and not as easy to create and maintain good professional working relationships and partnerships. Furthermore, it makes being a ?Self-starter? more unlikely. Rather than moving forward, maintaining the status-quo becomes more acceptable, even if only unconsciously.

Love ? The love life of a person with depression can suffer tremendously. Regardless of How much someone may profess their dedication to another person, if the other person can never see the bright side, it can wear on them. Life is short, right? Love conquers A WHOLE LOT, but it doesn?t conquer everything. Sometimes we must add internal fortitude to love to truly be invincible. Besides isn?t it better to fight, not just for you, but for this person that you love as well?

Health ? University studies have proven that people who are depressed are more likely to get sick, and more likely to die of an illness than those who are content. It is in your benefit, health wise, to fight your depression as well. A recent New York Times article, citing a University study, indicated that persons who have been diagnosed as depressed have more hospital visits, and a shorter lifespan.

Prosperity ? The depressed person sometimes lacks clarity of thought, and may miss golden opportunities to improve their lives if only they had been paying attention. This may be, perhaps, the most important point, since many people believe they would be happier if only this part of their life, or that part of their life, etc was different. Allowing good things to happen in your life might just give you the jump start needed to end the cycle of depression and self imposed-isolation( even if only figuratively ).

Fighting depression can help your life in many ways. In some ways, the fight in itself is also a reward. You become stronger, do better at work, have better relationships, and can focus on what is really important in life so that you can improve it, for yourself, your family, friends, and loved ones.

RAS and Your Path to Success!
How often do we get in the way of our own success? Often we map out a strategy and goal chart and then set sail on an unknown ocean in order to achieve that which we truly desire, only to end up crashing into the reefs. “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” By Robert Burns often comes to mind.

Why is that the plans we so carefully charted out on our passageway to success so often seem to fail? There are many factors, not the least of which can be luck or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, there are deeper factors that control our circumstances hidden within our sub-conscious mind.

I am sure you have often heard how the sub-conscious thoughts we think can control what happens to us and that we need to “visualize” what we want in order to obtain “it.” Name it and claim it so to speak. While I have always put stock in visualization, I haven’t put a lot of effort into it myself until I began to research the RAS otherwise known as the Reticular Activating System of the brain.

What is the Reticular Activating System of the brain? It’s a complex nexus of nerves at the base of your brain. The RAS gives your brain the ability to sort through all the information around you, allowing you the capability to index data that is being thrown at you in order of importance or relevance. In other words, the RAS tells you what should pay attention to and what you should ignore.

Let me give you a simple example of an every day occurrence of RAS in your daily life. Let’s say today you went out to purchase a new gold Ford Excursion. On your way to an important business meeting regarding your music, you begin to notice a lot of gold Excursions on the road when you hadn’t before. Was there suddenly a huge special on gold Excursions and now there are hundreds more driving on the road? Probably not.

Most likely the cars were there all along, it’s just your RAS fast at work. Your Reticular Activating System has now indexed the gold Ford Excursion as an important factor in your life, causing you to recognize it at nearly every occurrence. Your RAS is constantly working in both your personal and your professional life, indexing the beliefs you have deemed in your personal value system as important and those that you deem as unobtainable.

Let me give you another example. All your life you have dreamed of becoming the happening musician on the planet, but you have constantly heard how impossible that task is and you subconsciously bought into that belief. Externally, or in your conscious mind you make your plans and work hard to achieve your desired goal.

Did you know that your conscious mind only controls 17% of what you actually do? The other 83% is handled by your subconscious mind. Look at those figures. 17% of your conscious thoughts and actions are now going to handle your path to success, while the other 83%, the part that believes you will fail, will control the rest of your path to success. If you are counting on your conscious mind to control your life, without reprogramming your subconscious mind, you are fighting a losing battle. Remember, “…best laid plans of mice and men.”

So how do you change the viscous cycle that seems to waylay your life and your aspirations of a successful music career or success in anything for that matter? You need to learn to utilize your RAS at will. If you learn to do so, you will tap into an incredible resource of authority and resourcefulness that will help you succeed where you have otherwise failed in the past.

In order to begin your training, you will have to do a few things to help yourself.

• You must become 100%, absolutely sure, without a doubt, crystal clear about your wants, goals, needs and desires.
• Next…it is vitally important that you down your goals, plans, dreams and desires as well as what you will do to obtain them. I know you have heard this a million times, so I have. This time you must do it!
• Go over the list and read it allowed to yourself at least three to four times a day. Sounds stupid, but you MUST do it! Don’t get in the way of yourself! Somewhere in your subconscious mind is programmed a belief that says this is a stupid exercise and it won’t really work. So you say to yourself you will either put it off until later or you believe that if you just read this statement, you’ll get it. You won’t. You have to follow it! Be proactive and do it!
• This next part is also very important, although you may feel silly doing it. Tell your subconscious mind that this list is very important to you and command it to find a way for you to accomplish all the tasks you listed. Say it allowed at least two to three times a day (more if you want). Again, get out of the way of yourself and your past belief system and let your brain and RAS do the job you want it to!

Once you do this, you will begin to find new ideas and beliefs that will come into your belief system. It is important to write these down as you will find a lot of real jewels among them. This is just a start in your path to success and changing your belief patterns about success. Are you still sitting here reading? Come on…get on with it! Learning How To Overcome Self-Sabotage
It's easy to forget just how powerful our subconscious minds can be. We are often completely unaware of how our actions (or inactions) are affecting our lives. We may complain that things never work out for us, we have bad luck, or we just don't have what it takes to be successful. What we fail to realize is that we are actually creating our own circumstances through subconscious self-sabotage. In order to overcome self-sabotage we first have to use conscious awareness to explore our emotions and fears, and understand how they influence our actions. Once we have determined the cause of the destructive behavior, we can then take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

What's really happening when we sabotage ourselves? Subconsciously, we may be frightened by a particular outcome, even though we say we want it. Take, for example, losing weight. Many overweight people have struggled for years, tried diet after diet, and still can't lose the weight (or keep it off). They berate themselves, push themselves harder, and try to force the weight off. But what's happening beneath the surface? Do they really want to lose their excess pounds? They may say they do, but what if their layers of fat are providing a sense of protection and security in an uncertain world? What if they feel the need to cover up and conceal themselves? Losing weight then becomes a threatening, frightening possibility. So they might sabotage their diet efforts in order to avoid feeling too vulnerable and exposed. Even though they say they want to lose weight (and even believe they do) they still might set themselves up for failure by sneaking food, skipping exercise, and then making a promise that they'll try harder tomorrow.

Others may be intimidated by something as simple as starting a new job. Did you know that there are a surprisingly high number of people who don?t show up for job interviews, even for highly-desirable positions? Let's look at another example: Perhaps a stay-at-home-mom decides she needs to return to the workforce to earn money for her family. What she really wants is to stay home with her children, but she feels obligated to get a job outside the home. So instead of applying for the perfect position, she applies for jobs that she knows she's not qualified for, or jobs that require hours incompatible with her family's schedule so she has to turn down the job if it's offered. Subconsciously, that's her way of ensuring she won?t have to leave home, and at least she can say she "tried" to get a job.

Those who self-sabotage may also be afraid of what others will think of them should they accomplish their goals. They might not believe they're worthy of the outcome, so they act in ways that will ensure their failure.

These destructive efforts are done subconsciously, so even the saboteurs have fooled themselves into thinking they know what they want. If there is any uncertainty in their mind, any doubt, any fear, they will find a way to make sure it doesn't happen.

Perhaps this describes you? Have you sabotaged yourself in the past? Are you still doing it now? Are you not able to move forward with your goals, no matter how hard you try?

Fortunately we CAN overcome self-sabotage. The most important step to stopping self-sabotaging behavior is to recognize that it's happening. We must develop a conscious awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and actions.

If you've been struggling with a certain goal and things just don't seem to be working out for you, take a look at the setbacks that were encountered and evaluate the situation. Could any of the obstacles have been avoided by making wiser choices on your part? Are there a significantly high number of obstacles that have arisen for this one particular goal? If so, you may be self-sabotaging yourself.

A great way to get in touch with your subconscious mind is by spending time in quiet meditation. Ask yourself what you're afraid of. What fears do you have? What uncertainties? What makes you feel uncomfortable about this goal? For what reasons would you try to hold yourself back? Using a journal to write these questions and answers can help too, because writing can help you to connect with the deepest part of yourself. It might take time and practice, but exploring these possibilities can dramatically help you to get out of the self-sabotage rut.

When we finally understand that we are in control of our own success, we will be set free from all limitations! By developing clarity and insight about the outcomes we want to create, and the awareness for potential setbacks, we can stop the self-sabotage and focus our energies on working toward new goals that we will fully support in every way. We will then look back one day and see that instead of being our own worst saboteur, we have become our best supporter.
