Personalities and jobs

I believe that from the day you were born, this profound thing called destiny has already mapped out how your life would be. Yes you could be born with innate skills, talents and passion, but not everyone would be fortunate to make a living on what they are best in. Some people who are blessed with natural talent in certain area even got to end up working at jobs they dislike.

For me, thanks for the blessings, I work in a job that I like. Charting, planning and man management are always my strong areas and I like the challenges that come from it. You can say I am quite extroverted and it is good to mix with guys all the time.

Okay, that's cut it short. If a person works just for the money with no passion in the job, the job will never be well done. Then in this case, the person is in a wrong line... I have known a couple of guys who are in the wrong line by the money is good enough for them to stay there for over a decade but they complain and whine all the time.

So I can safely say that finding a rewarding career could be on the same magnitude as find a good spouse.

There is a perfect career for you and your Soul remembers what it is and can help you find it.

How?

One way is to look at your personality. And your personality is made up of all those skills, talents, interests & hobbies all hidden at the corner of your soul. Some people are quiet, hard workers, others are go-getters, while some are creative workers.

So which group are you in? I believe each has its own pros and cons.

Try to answer these few quesntions and you will have a great starting block to move to.

Are you a person who is extroverted?

Do you prefer initiating a project and leaving the implementation to others?

Do you mind delivering bad news if it is for the good of the company?

Are you more of an idea person than a colony worker bee?

Are you a visionary who can likes to plan the overall strategy and visualise its success by driving down your goals and objectives to the group?

If you have 3 or more yes to these questions, then you are more suitable to be an entrepreneur than employed.

This knowledge you now have about yourself is vital if you are going to find the career of your dreams. Make a decision right now as to whether you want the responsibility of developing your own business or working in management for an outside company.

If you answered no to most of the above questions, you will find yourself much happier working for someone else. Too many lovely people think they want management positions, or their own business, but their personalities are much better suited to working for someone else.
