Are Christians supposed to believe in psychics? That's a question that offers a lot of arguments and debates.
Some Christians apparently regard psychics as a group of people who should be avoided at all costs, while another group believe that many great prophets and predictions in the scripture are psychic in nature.
The Bible as well as other controversial religious topics tend to send mixed and contradictory messages. On the topic of Christian psychic, or whether Christians should believe in psychics, those people who find psychics to be evil should only look at the fact that many of Jesus' followers were in fact psychics or prophets. Based on this fact along, it can be logically argued that Christians should believe in psychics, not that it is evil, but it is spiritual power, and spirituality has nothing to do with whether you are religious or not.
I am discussing this topic because someone recently made a remark on a local paper that "I'm a Christian, so I don't even believe in psychic powers or anything". This is interesting I think.
So it is right to say that most Christians regard psychics as unique people who possess dark powers which can be used to read your minds, and this is unacceptable? What I am trying to say is that these psychic gifts are in born and natural, like Maria Duval, just to name one. You can say it is "God-given" at birth. Most of us have this godsend gift, just that some are stronger in nature, while some are weaker.
For most psychics they did not ask to have this ability - it just happened and usually at a very young age. I don't think this is something they should be bad about.
I suggest that for those Christians who believe that having psychic abilities is positive, and even seek the advice of a psychic - being able to have a reading from someone with the same religious beliefs may be better. If you are seeking advice on personal issues - speaking to someone who can offer advice based on directing you on a path that your own religious beliefs teach is a good and positive thing.
There are a lot of interesting arguments in this topic, even on books. Find out more!
