On School of Thoughts

Our thoughts come to us at any time of the day. At night, we have dreams. Hence our minds operate randomly when it comes to thoughts. When we remember and recall things, it is part of a thought process too. When we recall about good things that invigorate and inspire us, we call those positive thoughts. As you can see, this is a very random process.

At times, we feel helpless when there is a deluge of negative thoughts coming out of no where. Its something we don't want, but these negative thoughts just overcome us. It can be at a social setting, an office meeting or while driving along the highway.

Now let Maria Duval share with you some ways in which these negative thoughts can be contained.

You need to do is learn to stop thinking about it all of the time. There are always two side of a coin or the half empty or half full example. Our minds are flexible and the more better side of the thought you exert, the better it will be naturally.

Take for example, you are in debt. Instead of lamenting how much money is used to pay off these liabilities, you can adjust and tell yourself you are getting richer each month as you pay them off. It is same situation but the state of thought has changed completely!

Every person has to take control of his or her own thoughts!

Positive End of the Spectrum

We are sync with our thoughts. Logically, we change our lives when we change our thoughts. A simple life success formula, only if you think and plan in the position side of the spectrum.

But the question is, how to start to get to this positive side of life? Maria Duval highly suggests repetitions and visual affirmations of what/where you wish to be. If do right, it can transfer your mindset effectively.

Start to accumulate a trove of positive quotes from books, magazines and newspapers. Display them as much as your eyes can see them throughout the day, in toilet, wallet, car, room and etc...They will ingrain and inspire your mind.

I can guarantee you that after a few days, your whole thought pattern will be changed and you become a whole new person who thinks positive in every aspect of life.

Do remember to be focused and purge out alien thoughts that wander into your mind. In the beginning it might be little difficult for you, but it will become easy once it becomes your habit.

More of an optimist

I think I am an optimist. That day, I dropped my wallet in a small shopping mart. Maybe my mind was in a dazed state. I just couldn't remember what were the places that I went to that I might drop it. Instead of sighing that was the end of the world, I told myself maybe someone would call me up. Of course, i was retracing where i had been too at the same time. Fair enough, about half an hour later, the shop guy called me up. The feeling was indescribable - as if you had scaled some tallest mountain around.

That's why I think i have gradually tuned from a pessimist to an optimist, who always thinks of positive outcomes for whatever might have happened. Fair enough again, things do not always turn out positively..things will get that smack in the face feeling sometimes. It just a kind of mindset that people should try to adopt. If majority of the poeple are positive thinkers in this world, imagine how nice this place would be.

I learn from Maria Duval to tune my mindset to be more positive.

- Always think positive. Always hope for good things. Don't take negative events seriously, and don't criticize yourself. Instead, tell yourself next time I'll do better and move on.

- If you've worked for months on a project, reward yourself for completing it, despite the consequences. Do something good without any reason. It will help you be more optimistic.

- If someone's attitude is negative towards you, or you're treated rudely by a customer service representative, don't get angry. Give them a big smile; your positive attitude may compel them to change their negative attitude.

- Because of a lot of work, tension builds up in your muscles. This tension should be released through exercise. This will make you feel relaxed.

- Very important. Spend time with optimists. However, they are in rarity...you have to treasure them if you find them.

Changing for the better

When I was young and growing up, dad always told me I had been born unlucky into his family and as his son. He was a poor dad that always struggled and life seemed to be always bad after each corner.

That carried a lot of weight in my psyche and kept me "in my place" so to speak. I came to believe that nice things were just not for me, but for Jones' who lived a couple of yards down. I would "wow" whenever dad's rickety car bypassed their grand house... So there are other statements many of us grew up with that formed our belief system concerning money.

Sayings like "Filthy papers", "Money doesn't grow on trees", "Money is the root of all evil" or "If you have your health and love, you don't need money".

You get the idea, and I am sure you can recall statements that you grew up with. Those statements formed our beliefs and led to the thoughts we have about money. Once you identify your own thoughts about money, you need to consider whether or not the belief system you have followed is true or not. For example, just because you have your health and love does not mean you don't also need money. Try going to your bank and depositing some love.

With no disrespect to my dad, I realise that his criticism is one of the fastest ways to destroy his own potential success and prosperity that might be coming after all as he did work hard for our family.

Now, for whatever it takes, I do my best to stay in a positive mental state. You can't change your family, but you may need to have a conversation with those closest to you to let them know you are making some changes. Be sure to do this gently and in a non-confrontational manner. They may not be supportive at first; however, if you keep pressing on, they may realize life is much better in a positive, peaceful atmosphere.

Keep it up - well done!

Well I have definitely been a negative person for much of my life. But in the past 4 or 5 years I have worked diligently to shift away from being critical, bitter, resentful and otherwise negative.

I have been identifying and shifting my thoughts from negative and fearful to positive and determined. It is working. But there is evidence that I have more work to do.

Focusing on the positive result of change is a great idea. AND -- if there's a pattern that you notice, as you have, like that other people's negative energy is occurring in your life and you suspect you might have some negative energy that is drawing it -- it might be a good idea to examine what you're being when people get all reactive on you. Take a look at the specific way of being you were being when people give you negative feedback, and see how pervasive that is in your life. There may be some beliefs you have that are due for re-examination, and there may be some stuff you have to clean up with people, so that you are opening them up to feeling good about you.

I have met very difficult people in my work. They like to put challenges to whoever that talk to them. They are defensive if you wish to know. I have no problem with others having different views but I do have a problem with others not allowing views that differ from their own. If their view is not immediately adapted then they basically go on the attack.

So i told myself try to stay positive and don't dwell on such scathing negative comments which don't help or any negative things in your life. Shift my focus to something positive as soon as I notice something that might get me down.

Well done, I say to myself.. and keep up the good work!

Positive Affirmations
